John loved Linda. He knew she was the one for him. They had been together for a year and John decided to pop the question. The problem was how should he do it? So, John went looking for advice. After discarding a series of ideas contributed by colleagues and friends, he came up with his own idea, “keep it simple.” So while they were having dinner he casually took out a solitaire ring, looked at her and asked, “Linda, my love, will you marry me?”Linda beamed at him, “Yes!” John felt he was the happiest man alive. But while on their way back John felt something was amiss. Linda seemed a little distant, lost in thought. John asked her what the matter was. Linda said, “I love you John. I’m extremely happy that we are going to be married, but I always thought you would put a little extra effort in proposing me.” Her reply left him disconcerted.

The dream doesn’t end here……its not just about that particular man but also about that particular moment when he lays bare his feelings for you. Right from the time you choose the ring to the moment when you actually present it to her, the key is to make her feel special!!!!

Here are some ideas that would ensure you give your girl friend a proposal she has always dreamed about and can’t stop bragging to all her green-eyed friends:

1. Stand right outside her bedroom window early morning, with a band of hired musicians. Ask the band to play one of her favorite love songs. Appear with a message board in your hands which says “You made my life beautiful and I want it to stay the same forever. Will you marry me?” Go down on your knee and keep the diamond handy, you will need it once she comes running down screaming with joy!!!

2. If your girl is a nature lover take her out rowing on a beautiful moonlight night. Once your boat is somewhere in the middle of the lake, hold her hand and tell her how much she means to you. Present her a bouquet of roses with a card which says “I will make your life a path of roses. Will you please let me be a part of it?”

3. Hide love notes all over the place, her wardrobe, her bathroom, her dressing table, her bed and all the places where she can easily spot them (take help of her friends if necessary)and the most important note “Will you marry me?” at her office desk with the ring at the centre of the table. 4. Call her for a birthday party at one of your friends place.
